HPV vaccine is not a major advancement in cancer prevention (pap smear is), but it has its role in patient care. and that's a point that you should realize. there is no such thing as a magic bullet (at least not yet). it's not the individual treatment that matters, it's careful weighing of risks (not limited to side effects) and benefits (not limited to improved survival), taking into account who the patient is. for the time being, i don't see why you should send you little girl to HPV vaccination. (nor is it recommended by the major national clinical guidelines.)
